Post-Hypnotic Suggestion?
This is when a suggestion is given whilst in
the hypnotic state that can be used when not in hypnosis. When using
this type of suggestion the person is in complete control, totally
alert and fully aware of what is going on around them at conscious
level. This enables them to work or drive a car for example safely,
but at the same time benefiting from the suggestion.
Will I remember what happens in hypnosis?
Yes. In the hypnotic state you are not a zombie and are completely
aware of what is happening.
Can I be made to do something against my will?
No. A hypnotist or hypnotherapist cannot make anybody do anything
against his or her will or ethics. No therapist can impose his or
her will or ethics upon a client. If a therapist could make anybody
do anything, every thing would be one off session. You cannot be
made to accept a suggestion. Hypnosis needs two people, a willing
client and a hypnotist.
Will I lose control?
No. You are total control at all times. At any time you can open
your eyes and get up and leave.
Do you use drugs?
No.
Can I get stuck in the hypnotic state?
No.
Is it safe?
With a competent hypnotist there is no concern. Hypnosis is a safe,
natural, therapeutic therapy.
What is the unconscious / subconscious mind?
You can liken it to a computer. It stores every thing about you
from the day you are born to the day you die. It forgets nothing.
It absorbs and files away all that you hear, read, see and all your
experiences.
As a computer accepts programs so your subconscious accepts suggestions.
Unfortunately it accepts both negative as well as positive suggestions.
People tend to program themselves in a negative manner at times.
With the help of a hypnotherapist you can change that negative approach
to situations etc to a more positive attitude and behavior.
