The Aghori
abstinent is himself an emblem from the God Shiva in Shiva's form as
Bhairava. The main symbol that creates him different from different
sadhus is a skull mug he uses as a begging bowl. He goes bare or wears
the shroud of a corpse, covers himself in the ashes of the cremation
ground and at all times has his hair raveled or in entwined dreadlocks.
If an aghori makes use of a corpse as part of his ritual worship, the
