Keeping comfortable in summer when pregnant
Pregnant woman often
feel lousy, exhausted and their legs swell more during the summer months. These
problems come about by the heat which aggravates the effects of pregnancy.
Here are some steps which may help prevent discomfort during the summer months:

Avoid direct midday sun.

Use a high factor sun tan lotion.

Drink 8 glasses of water, or a energy replacement
fluid such as Gatorade

Avoid outdoor exercise during the hot hours of
the day

Any sign of dizziness, or weakness should be
taken seriously. Get indoors, and drink lots of fluids.
Leg swelling in both legs during pregnancy is normal, but here is a list that
may help you reduce the risk of leg swelling and discomfort:

Stand in one place for a long period of time

a week
