Shiatsu-Kyo and jitsu energy
Oriental medicine proposes that vitality is the basis for all life, and it's
divided into two sorts generally known as kyo and jitsu. If the power is low or
deficient, it is known as kyo, and if there is an excess or the energy is high,
it is called jitsu.
These two elements will affect the kind of shiatsu that is given. Skilled
shiatsu practitioners can decide with contact what sort a person the recipient
is. The practice of shiatsu is altered relying on the power degree of the
recipient.
For kyo sorts (low or deficient in energy), a mild and delicate touch is
required, and any stretched positions may be maintained for an extended time as
this will bring extra power to that a part of the body. Stress, held by the
thumb or palm, will also be maintained for an elevated length of time, roughly
10- 15 seconds.
For jitsu varieties (high or extra power), the stretches may be done fairly
shortly in order that the vitality is dispersed, and in addition shaking or
rocking areas of the body can have the same effect. The pressure that's exerted
by the thumbs or palms should also be held for a shorter length of time, in
order that excess vitality is dispelled.
