Tarot
card - Chariot
A robust-trying, handsome man steers a chariot pulled by a pair of
sphinxes. He is the successful leader who is returning residence with
victory in the hands. On his head he wears a crown with a star,
representing his authority over all he surveys. The sphinxes themselves,
sometimes portrayed as stallions, are mild and darkish, showing us the
charioteer's capacity to tie together good and evil. A cover of stars
over him reminds us that celestial influences can have an effect on his
victory, as do the planetary crescents on his epaulettes.
When the Energy card shows up in a Tarot spread, it indicates success
and triumph, management over the forces of natural history. This
includes conquer poor health, pure disasters, and different external
forces. The same, the charioteer reveals us now we have management and
dominion over our enemies and those that would cause us destruction.
Lastly, we have the power to achieve victory against our own baser
instincts -- this can be a card of someone who can obtain enormity,
ought to they set their thoughts to it.
A reversed Energy card often represents a victory that's lower than
ethical -- cheating, lying, or manipulating others to have one's own
way. Upside down, the charioteer is someone who can't control his
personal emotions or physical strengths, which can finally lead to his
downfall.
