Asana
Introduction
Yoga Sutra defines asana as that which is comfy and straightforward, as well as
firm. It is a dynamic place, wherein the practitioner is perfectly poised
between exercise and non-exercise, being doing and "being done by" the posture.
A corresponding mental steadiness exists between motion and stillness. Yoga
teaches that every posture reflects a psychological angle, whether that
perspective be one in all surrender, as in a ahead bending asana, or the
strengthening of the desire, via backward bending postures, or the creation of a
bodily prayer or meditation with the physique, as within the practice of
Padmasana (lotus posture). A posture or asana can be
utilized for rejuvenating particular organs and glands as well as the spine.
