Karni Mata temple (Mandir)
The Karni Mata temple (Mandir), Deshnok is located 30 km from Bikaner. The
temple is devoted to an early fifteenth century mystic, considered to be a
reincarnation of Goddess Durga. This temple is kind of well-known for a large
number of brown rats operating across the temple (Mandir) complicated
fearlessly. It's believed that the souls of lifeless Charans (traditional bards,
the devotees of Mata) reside in these rats. It is considered very lucky to
identify a rat within the temple. Throughout the time of Arti, these rats are
provided sweets, grains, and so forth by the devotees.
Ganga Singh, the previous ruler of Bikaner, received the temple constructed
