The tropical rain forest is characterized by high
temperatures and constant rainfall. This type of biome is found in Central and
South America, in Southeast Asia, and in West Africa. The trees are tall and the
vegetation is so thick that the forest floor is shaded from light. The animals
of the rain forest include monkeys, lizards, snakes, and birds.
