Introduction of palmistry
Palmistry is an ancient science of knowing the past, present and future of a person. Since palm is the gift of nature
no errors can be ascribed to the lines on the palm, which are there since birth.
Palmistry is a method of counselling that originated in
India over
3,000 years ago. It is a part of a vast field of study, referred to as Samudrik
Shastra, which literally means the ocean of knowledge. Palmistry is a
sub-section of Samudrik Shastra and deals specifically with the study of the
hand.
It is the purpose of Palmistry to teach you how to conquer the ancient art of
divination by means of stated rules and not by intuition. These rules work
accurately under all circumstances, while intuition comes and goes at it own
sweet will, under the influence of some momentary excitement which develops in
very rare occasions, a state of true clairvoyance, never to be fully depended
on. Palmistry is a well-established science, which pulls everyone to it even as
a layman. However, like every 'Science', one has to have patience and learn its
deep intricacies to get its correct and true meaning.
Every hand is a map of a life and every part of the hand, from the fingertips to
the wrist, contains important markers to points on the map. The roads and
signposts in our hands are created by our nervous systems. Our palms, fingers
and hand postures tell a story about who we are and where we are going in our
lives.
Each of our fingers and mounds has an astrological correspondence. Did you know
that the size of your Saturn finger can tell a lot about how you handle
responsiblity? That you can decide whether someone is giving you an honest deal
by looking at the areas of the hand ruled by Mercury?
By charting the astrological correspondences found in the hands and
understanding the mythologies of the gods and planets associated with each part
of that map it is possible to understand yourself and others by making simple
observations about thumb size, finger length, gesture, lines and skin color.
It is important to look at both hands during a reading. Depending on which hand
is active (usually seen as the hand you write with),in combination with the
inactive hand, shows where you have been (passive),and where you are likely
headed (active) in this life.
Palmistry and Hand Analysis have intrigued humans throughout history. Nearly
everyone enjoys a free hand reading. Perhaps the earliest interest in hand
reading occurred when the cave dwellers left their hand prints on cave walls
over 12,000 years ago. Throughout history since writing was invented, thousands
of documents have been created detailing Palmistry and Hand Analysis techniques.
Thus in all we have divided the study of Palmistry into four main parts:
