Navel

As the navel of the world, this is a universal cosmic symbol. As a symbol, it embodies the center; the center of the body of mother earth. In this way, a navel in a dram often indicates a mother complex.  If young women dream of navels, this frequently indicates latent lesbian tendencies.

 

Night

When the setting in a dream is night, this signifies a spiritual area about which we are, so to speak, still in the dark.

 

Nudity

It is only in extremely rare cases that nudity in a dream refers to an erotic situation.  Nudity indicates a state of spiritual exposure.

 

Numbers

According to the teachings of Jung, numbers were not consciously invented, but are spontaneous products of the unconscious.  As such, they are archetypal symbols.  Modern science expresses all aspects of living things in terms of mathematical formulas.  In  other words, science relates material processes to numbers.  Study of dreams has shown that similar relationships exist between psychic functions anc certain numerical relationships.
In dreams, the number two usually has female significance.  It is the number of union and of the couple.  On the other hand, it indicates the opposition of man and woman, matter and intellect, heaven and earth, etc.
Three is an age-old magic number.  Even today, a word is frequently repeated three times to give it particular significance. It is still customary to knock on wood three times to avert disaster.
Seven is a dynamic number.  The week has seven days, the rainbow has seven colors and the lunar cycle is 28 days (or four times seven). The esoteric explanation of the significance of the number seven is that it is formed by adding four, the symbol of totality, to three, the symbol of creative intellectual powers.
An eight in a dream, or octagonal forms or rooms can have an extremely positive significance.  A state of completeness is indicated.
On the other hand, if further developments in the dream so dictate, the eight ( as a symbol of totality and completeness) can indicate that no further possibilities exist in a certain situation.  In this respect, the eight can sometimes have the significance of a warning signal.
We are used to calculating in the decimal system.  Eleven starts a new series.  In dream symbolism, it indicates new occurrences or progress.
Thirteen has a similar significance.  

 

Nails (Fasteners)

Nails show that you will do much work with very little pay. Bright nails means you will nevertheless enjoy the work. Bent or dull nails will show sickness and disorder entering your life shortly. To drive nails shows you will complete a deal and 'drive' a hard bargain. If you injury yourself with a nail you should be careful of careless talk and sharp words.

 

Naked

To dream of a naked man where only the top part is visible foretells illness to a female member of your family but if the privates are exposed then the meaning is death. It is reversed if you dream of a naked female. Remember that a death omen does not always mean the physical death of the body. Other interpretations are associated with illicit love affairs and loss of prestige coupled with scandal. Interpret this in context with the rest of your dream symbols.

 

Napkin

To dream of a dinner napkin portends a celebration where you will be the person of honor. To dream of soiled napkins being placed on the dining table show that you have some major marital problems that may be 'soiling' your home life. Beautiful, intricate, designs on the napkins show that your marriage has a beautiful, spiritual, undercurrent which makes it very strong.

 

Navy

To dream of being in the Navy denotes your need for organization and structure in your life. To dream of being rescued by a Navy person presages help you will receive from authorative sources. A shabby Navy crew indicates failure in your undertakings.

 

Nearsighted

A dream of being nearsighted denotes that your energies are focused on the short term accomplishment and not on preparing for the future. In other words you may be missing the big picture all together. A woman who dreams she is nearsighted may be missing certain clues and signals her loved one is sending; this is a warning to pay closer attention before it is too late and she suffers the loss of this person.

 

Neck

To admire the beautiful neck of a strange woman shows that domestic ties may soon be severed. To see your own neck in a dream is an omen that someone will interfere with your business plans. Dreaming of a thick neck shows that you are becoming very quarrelsome and quick tempered.

 

Necklace

If you dream of losing a necklace you will soon be suffering bereavement of a loved one. If you dream your loved one places a necklace around your neck or that you are wearing one, Shows an early marriage and a happy domestic life.

Necromancer (one of the black arts) Dreaming of a necromancer is a very bad dream and should be meditated on along with the whole dream. Dreaming of this necromancer practicing his black arts denotes there are evil people around you that will try to influence your life and spoil your domestic bliss.

 

Need

To see yourself in need shows that you are in danger of losing everything through speculation, This is a warning to slow down and become more conservative, or make the dream come true. To see others in need means that your state of affairs also affect others and the same warning holds true.

 

Needle

Finding a needle in your dream shows that you worry needlessly over small matters. To thread a needle in your dream denotes good fortune in your undertaking but if you had a hard time threading it and became angry then you can expect some frustration before accomplishment.

 

Neighbor

To dream of having a good neighbor is a good omen showing that you will enjoy your home and domestic tranquillity will reside with you. If Your neighbors appear sad in your dream then you will have to take it as opposite the above, but if they are angry and fighting you will soon be moving from your home.

 

Nephew

If you dream of your nephew and he is of pleasing countenance this is an omen that you will soon find yourself residing in a more pleasing and congenial surroundings. If, however, his looks are gross then there will be a loss of business or possible illness for you.

 

Night

To dream of night shows that you will encounter obstacles in reaching your goals or some serious setbacks. This kind of prognostication must be tempered by all the aspects in the dream and other things used to offset the adverse effects such as: Clear and bright moonlight, stars and celestial bodies seen clearly, and , of course, the dreamers feelings. To be in a nightclub with lots of fun going on augers well for your social life and connections in the near future. If the nightclub is dimly lit and depressing, you can expect the end of a love affair, or a financial crisis.
