Allahabad is an

of the rivers Ganga, Jamuna and the mythical Saraswati. Allahabad lies on 25.30
N Latitude and 81.55 E Longitude at the height of 98.0M above sea level in the
state of Uttar Pradesh, which is the most populated state of India. The time
zone is +4.5 G.M.T. During the Kumbh Mela period, a tent city is organized by
the government of India for more than a month, where millions of devotees live.
Different Hindu religious organizations erected their camps during this period.
Stories and scenes from Hindu religious texts were staged by the folk theater
groups in different places in the Mela area. Many devotees lived in camps and
ashrams for the whole duration of the Mela and lead a sacred life. This is
called kalpavas and these people are called kalpvasee.
