Thumb & finger

Thumb is the king of the hand. Many great things can be known by the study of thumb only. To study the Thumb in detail, we further divide it into following subtopics :-

Position.
Size.
Shape.

1. POSITION : Here we will study the different positions of Thumb and their interpreted indications :-

1	Too High: This is a indication of Idiocy (also short and ill shaped).
2	High: This symbolizes lack of adaptability. Meanness in money matters.
3	Low: This is a symbol of Generosity; intelligence.
4	Close to the Fingers: This is considered to be a sign of avarice (greediness & meanness).
5	Away from the Fingers: Spendthrift disposition

2. SIZE : Here we shall study the overall size of the Thumb and their respective interpretations:-

1	Very Long : In such a case the head governs rather than the feelings; obstinacy, not always wise.
2	Long : This denotes the fine capacity for thought and action ; the subject is his own master.
3	Short : A short thumb is a sign of Irresolute mind and weak reasoning.

SHAPE : The Shape is one of the most significant aspect while studying the Thumb. Some the commonly evident ones are :-

1	Thick : Indicates, Primitive tastes ; often uncouth ways; also blunt honesty.
2	Flat : This one point towards, Nervous disposition; meanness.
3	Broad : This is an Indication of Violent outbursts and if short besides - Fits (frenzy) of stubbornness that do not last longer.
4	Slender : This type of Thumb is often in possession of people with Poetic and artistic genius, or at least refined tastes.
5	Stiff : People in possession of stiff thumb usually display Plenty of common sense; often stubbornness, exaggerate caution, secretiveness.
6	Thrown back naturally : This type of thumb is an Indicator of Generosity, artistic gifts (capacity).
7	Flexible : This is an indication of Spendthrift disposition; unconventional tendencies.

FINGERS :

As palmistry does not include the thumb, which is honored with separate and distinct treatment as playing a considerable part in the economy of the hand. There are therefore, only four Fingers to Palmistic Hands, and they are designated as follows :-

The First Finger (Index Finger): Finger of Jupiter.

The Second Finger (Middle Finger): Finger of Saturn.

The Third Finger (Ring finger): Finger of Apollo.

The Fourth Finger (Little Finger): Finger of Mercury.

Fingers are further divided into three parts. The one, which has nails is called 1st part, the middle one is second part and the one adjoining the Palm is called third part.
